PG owner Ashraf arrested for allegedly raping a college student who had recently moved into his paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru’s Soladevanahalli area.
In a deeply disturbing incident from Bengaluru, the owner of a paying guest (PG) facility in Soladevanahalli has been arrested for allegedly raping a college student. The accused, identified as Ashraf, reportedly committed the crime late on Saturday night by taking the student to a secluded area in his car.

The victim, a student of a reputed college in Bengaluru, had shifted to the PG only ten days ago. According to her complaint, Ashraf took her out on the pretext of discussing PG-related issues, but instead drove her to a deserted location where he sexually assaulted her.
The traumatized student later approached the Soladevanahalli police station and filed a formal complaint. Based on her statement, a case was registered and the accused was taken into custody without delay. Preliminary medical tests have been conducted, and an investigation is underway.

The case has triggered widespread concern over the safety of women residing in PG accommodations across Bengaluru, especially those coming from other cities for education. Authorities have assured that swift and strict legal action will follow.
