Bengaluru Murder: Notorious criminal ‘Biklu Shiva’ hacked to death in Halasuru; probe underway | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: A 40-year-old rowdy element was hacked to death in Halasuru on Tuesday late evening by a gang of four to five miscreants. The deceased has been identified as Shiva Kumar, alias Biklu Shiva, a resident near Halasuru Lake. Based on the preliminary investigation, police said the attackers targeted Shiva in front of a hotel on Meanee Avenue Road, Hermit Colony, Sivanchetti Gardens. Shiva, a known rowdy sheeter, was near the hotel to meet someone when the gang struck. He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Bystanders who witnessed the attack fled in fear. The police were alerted about the incident, and senior officers, including those from the Bharathi Nagar police station, rushed to the scene and collected evidence. Police suspect the motive behind the attack could be rivalry. As of now, Bharathi Nagar police have not received a formal complaint from Shiva’s family. CCTV footage from the hotel and nearby commercial establishments is being examined to identify the attackers.
