The teaser of the film Beedi Baduku has been released. The film tells the story of a woman who picks rags for a living and the hardships she faces. Director Purushottam Onkar, known for devotional films, has made this film based on the life of a woman who collects scraps to feed herself and her son. The film depicts her daily struggles and emotions.
Rekha Sagar (Rekharani) plays the lead role and has also produced the film. The teaser launch event was attended by Rekha Sagar, director Purushottam, Ganeshrao Kesarkar, Raj Bhaskar, editor Anil, M. Saketh, and Dr. Rupesh. Rekha Sagar, who was seen as Happlada Mallamma in KGF and has acted in several serials, portrays a woman who suffers due to her alcoholic husband while trying to raise her son.
According to the team, the film was shot over 25 days in real locations such as slums, huts, crematoriums, and hospitals. It has been made entirely with sync sound. The story focuses on a mother’s struggle, the insults she faces, and her reasons for enduring them.
Speaking at the event, actress and producer Rekha Rani said she took up the role as a challenge and visited slums to study the people’s lifestyle. She added that the film’s objective is to convey that those who have should help those who do not. The film is ready for release and will be hitting screens soon.
Beedi Baduku has music by Raj Bhaskar, cinematography by Mutturaj, and VFX and editing by Anil. The film has completed post-production and is ready for release.
