The Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police on September 20 registered a case after an unknown person tried to extract sensitive information from Rajya Sabha MP and author Sudha Murthy, who was formerly the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation. According to the FIR, Murthy received the call at around 9.40 am on September 5. “The caller introduced himself as an employee of the Ministry of Telecommunications and alleged that her number was registered without linking it with Aadhaar,” the FIR read.
