Gurugram: The Solan district and sessions court in Himachal Pradesh has allowed a revision petition of a Delhi-based woman seeking to reopen a gang rape case filed by her against Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and Haryanvi singer Rocky Mittal, alias Jai Bhagwan. Keeping in line with an announcement made in the state budget earlier this year by CM Siddaramaiah, the Karnataka government issued an order Tuesday for capping the prices of cinema tickets for regional language films at Rs 200. The capping of prices has been implemented through an amendment to the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 2014, where Rule 55 has been amended to include a new sub-rule. A 48-year-old woman in Bengaluru ended her life minutes after coming to know of her daughter’s suicide Monday, said the police. The deceased were identified as Rachitha Reddy and her daughter Sreeja Reddy, 24, residents of Nagagondanahalli in the Whitefield police limits. The family hailed from Andhra Pradesh, and Sreeja worked as a data analyst at a private company, said the police. Traces of toxic pesticide were found in the samples of a tigress and her four cubs, Chief Conservator of Forests T Heeralal has said. The samples and viscera from the deceased tigers were analysed at the Forensic Science Laboratory and Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals Laboratory to determine the exact cause of death, Heeralal said Monday.
