The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Karnataka Government to investigate allegations of murders and secret burials in Dakshina Kannada district’s Dharmasthala temple town questioned the whistleblower in the case for around five hours on Saturday. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced that 7.24 crore voters—91.69 per cent of Bihar’s 7.89 crore electors—submitted their enumeration forms during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) held between 24 June and 25 July 2025. “Out of 7.89 crore electors as on 24.06.2025, over 7.24 crore electors have submitted their Enumeration Forms indicating overwhelming participation,” the Commission stated in its press note.
