The trailer launch event of ‘Austin Na Mahanmauna’, a unique attempt made by a team of young talents, was organized at MMB Legacy in GT Mall, Bengaluru, with renowned producer K. Manju attending as the chief guest. Before the trailer launch, music director Vishi and team presented a live instrumental performance of the film’s songs. Another highlight was the presence of Subramani, grandson of the famous poet, philosopher, and writer D.V.G., and also the uncle of the film’s actor-director-producer Vinay Kumar Vaidyanathan.
After the trailer was released, producer K. Manju said, “The main reason I came here today is because of our mentor Subramani, who is none other than DVG’s grandson, and his nephew Vinay is acting in and producing this film. The trailer is very unique. Recently, several films have been successful; may this film also join that list. Vinay has learned a lot, studied cinema deeply, and worked hard for years. This film will be released through KRG Films, and I have suggested it be released in more multiplexes. Wishing the team the very best.”
Vinay’s uncle Subramani also spoke: “My sister’s son studied engineering, and I used to wonder why he came into films. But he developed a deep interest in writing and literature. As William Shakespeare said, ‘Literature is the index of life.’ Support this young man’s effort and help make the film a success he said.
Actor-director-producer Vinay Kumar Vaidyanathan said, “After completing Electrical Engineering, I had immense interest in cinema. I worked as an associate director in many films, gained experience, and directed short films. After 13 years of continuous effort, through AVV Productions, I have now acted as the lead, produced, and directed this film. I always remember Puneeth Rajkumar, as I learned a lot while working on the sets of ‘Rana Vikrama’.
Austin Na Mahanmauna includes love, thrills, and emotions. The incident behind this ‘Great Silence’ is the highlight of the film. It is set in the 1990s and tells the story of a coastal family. It is a purely emotional film. We are releasing it across the state through KRG Films on September 05. It is hard work and home work with 13 years of experience working in various departments of cinema I was able to manage this film he adds.

Music director Vishi said, “From the age of six I developed an interest in music. Vishi provided six songs for this film. His performance at the trailer launch with his band was very interesting and explained the quality of the songs in the film ‘Austin Na Mahanmouna’.
Actress Prakruthi and I studied in the same college. I dreamt of becoming a music director, while she dreamt of becoming an actress, and today our dreams have come true through this film. Our team performed live music of the film’s songs today. There are six songs in the film. Initially, there were no songs planned, but now both songs and background score have blended perfectly with the film. I thank my team and family for supporting me in my first film as a music director Vishi was emotional in his speech.
Co-director Karthik Nayak said, “I too came from theater, with an interest in music, and was fortunate to join this team. The film has shaped up just as we hoped. Now it’s in your hands to bless and encourage us.”
Actress Prakruthi said, “This is my first film. It feels great to speak on such a stage in front of the media. The role given to me by the director is excellent. Please watch our film and encourage talents like us.”
Another theater talent, actress Risha Gowda, said, “My role is very different. I have tried to do justice to it. Please watch our film in theaters and share your thoughts.”
This is a content-oriented film featuring Balrajwadi, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Jagappa, Swathi, and many others. Cinematography is by Rajakanth, editing by Srinivas and Shashidhar.
