The film “Rakki” commenced with a muhurat ceremony held recently at Renukamba Theatre. The title of the film being the same as the hero’s name is a key highlight.
The film is produced by Saligrama Suresh under the SNR Productions banner and directed by Venkat Bharadwaj. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar gave the first clap for the opening scene, marking the formal launch of the project. After the muhurat, the film team addressed the media.
Saligrama-origin Suresh, who has been residing in Germany for several years, is producing the film, with his son Rakki making his debut as the lead actor. Director Venkat Bharadwaj stated that he had earlier narrated two stories to the producer. The producer wanted the story to be narrated to Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and suggested that the story she approves would be made into a film. After listening to the story, she approved it.

Venkat Bharadwaj shared that the film is an action suspense thriller, and a major portion of the shoot will take place on a specially constructed set in Bengaluru. Explaining the title, he said that “Rakki” refers to a lit firecracker whose explosion timing is unpredictable, and the lead character in the film also reflects this nature.
The film features Ashika Somashekhar and Pallavi Manjunath as the female leads. The cast also includes B. Suresh, Harini Srikanth, Sundar Raj, Ramesh Pandit, Sampath Maithreya, and Gante Govinda. The technical crew consists of Loki Tavasiya (Music), Issacs Prabhakar (Cinematography), Deepu S Kumar (Editing), and Lawrence Preetham (Associate Director).
Lead actor Rakki thanked Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar for launching the film and stated that he holds the same name as the film title. He completed engineering in Germany and is working there, and has undergone preparation before entering acting. He sought support for his debut.

Producer Saligrama Suresh stated that he is originally from Saligrama, works in the IT sector, and has been living in Germany for 20 years. His father Rajasekhar had produced the Dr. Rajkumar-starrer “Hosabelaku”. He mentioned that after Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar approved the story, the team proceeded to begin shooting. He expressed thanks to her for giving the first clap.
Actor B. Suresh, who plays a character named Danny, appears as an underworld don. He stated that the story narrated by the director is good and expressed that the film should not end up as one among many, but stand out as one.
