A group of youths specialized in rib tickling short films in you tube have joined together for another laugh riot ‘Amrutha Anjan’ short Film Amruthanjan, now becoming a Feature Film.
Amruth–Anjan of course with a story of father–son bonding offers a good laugh promises the team at the first media meet.
Four years ago, the short film Amruthanjan, directed by Jayaram Mohit (JRM), created a sensation on social media and went on to become one of the most-watched short films. Now, with the same concept, director Jayaram has made a feature film titled Amruth–Anjan. The film is now ready for release, and to announce it, the team has launched a special video. Sudhakar Gowda, Gaurav Shetty, Karthik Ruwari, Payal Changappa, and Pallavi Parva are playing the lead roles.
On the occasion, producer’s brother Kiran said: “Seeing the overwhelming response for our short film Amruthanjan, we decided to make it into a feature film. The film has now reached its release stage, and we are planning to release it next month.”
Director Jayaram said: “Our short film, released on the Mohite YouTube channel, received a lot of appreciation from viewers. So, we took the same essence and made a proper commercial feature film. My earlier film ‘Sodabuddi’ received an average response. This is my second film. We’ve put in every effort required for the story. While watching the film, you’ll laugh at least 40–50 times. I’m confident the audience will love it. The film has beautiful father–son emotions, with Sudhakar and Naveen Padil playing those roles. We’ve attempted natural comedy. Inspiration for this film came from legends such as Sudha Murthy and Jackie Chan. We shot for 68 days around Mangalore, Bengaluru, and Thirthahalli. Since we couldn’t secure the title Amruthanjan, we named it ‘Amruth–Anjan.”
Actor Gaurav said “Our journey began with that short film, and now we are stepping onto the big screen.”
Actor Sudhakar said “The film has comedy along with love, emotions, and friendship. We’re confident our movie will definitely succeed.”
Actresses Payal Changappa and Pallavi Parva, along with Karthik, Chetan Durga, cinematographer Sumanth Acharya, and music director Raghavendra, also shared their thoughts about ‘Amruth–Anjan’ media briefing.
