The teaser of the Kannada film “Ugra Tandava”, produced by social worker and real estate businessman Dr. N. Narasihmamurthy under the Surabhi Films banner, has been released. The film is directed by Gautham Surya, with Chiranth in the lead role.
The shooting of the film, set against a Malenadu backdrop, is yet to begin. The story revolves around politics, the mafia, and conflicts between landlords and laborers in the coastal region.
Speaking after the teaser launch, producer Narasihmamurthy said that the director has executed the teaser well and that he has confidence in the outcome of the film. He explained that the story focuses on societal inequalities and how a person reacts when injustice occurs.
Sharing his film association, he stated that he acted in community dramas during the 1980s–90s and had earlier attempted film production once which resulted in a loss. Ugra Tandava is his second production venture, and he plans to continue producing more films in the future.

Actor Chiranth mentioned that his first film was Aathma, and Ugra Tandava is his second. He said the story carries a political angle, also touching on caste-based issues. It is set in Malenadu and depicts landlord–laborer dynamics through action and drama. Shooting will begin in November, he confirmed.
The lead actress said that acting has been her ambition since childhood and thanked producer Narasihmamurthy for offering her the role, along with opportunities in two upcoming films.
Director Gautham Surya, who has previously worked with senior directors Dinesh Baboo and P. Vasu, expressed his gratitude to the producer and Chiranth for the opportunity.
Actor Madhubala will play the role of a police officer, and Hubballi-based Ashwini S. will be seen as a model. Actor Kiran is also part of the film. Music is composed by Sri Suresh, while Sanjay and Bhuvana are the co-producers.
