The film trailers, teasers, posters, and audio releases are done by star actors or politicians or VIPs. But the ‘Kuntebille’ film team had their movie trailer released by a robot named “Sna$pi” that runs around like a dog. Yes, similar to the “Champak” robot that was running all over the ground during the last IPL Season 18, “Sna$pi” was imported from Hong Kong by a Mysore-based person named Pavan. The special thing is that ‘Kuntebille’ is the first film program even for this robot.
Directed by Siddegowda, who is known for the films Dakshayajna, Tarle Village, Ritumathi, and Hoovina Haara, Kuntebille is his eighth film. Expressing his disappointment that some renowned artists, including the heroine Meshri who acted in the film, were absent at the trailer release program, director Siddegowda thanked Sna$pi, saying:
“Till now, I have been making movies that shed light on rural life. Kuntebille too is a story with a village essence. The film has love and suspense elements. The story revolves around how, by making a needless mistake, we ourselves ruin our own love. We began shooting in January, and now we have completed shooting and post-production, and the film is presently at the censor stage.”
Shooting took place for 40 days around Ramanagara and H.D. Kote. The film has three songs and one stunt sequence. Kumar Gowda J. and Shivu S.B. have jointly produced Kuntebille.
Kumar Gowda said “Thirty years ago, I had come to Bangalore wanting to act in films. But I didn’t know anyone then, and I didn’t get opportunities. So I went back to my village. Now, through this film, I am entering the film industry as a producer, and my son Yadu is making his debut as the hero.”
Another producer, S.B. Shivu, said “This is the sixth movie I am producing. But in Gandhinagar no one knows who I am. When I asked director Jogi Prem’s assistant Dashavara Chandru to have him sing one song for our film, they told me to bring five lakh rupees. That was very disappointing.”
Hero Yadu, who set aside his dream of becoming a cricketer to fulfill his father’s wish, said “In this film, I play the role of a boy from a poor family who works in a chicken farm. The storyline is about how the hero struggles in every way to protect his love.”
Khan, who has done art direction for many serials, films, and plays including Shankar Nag’s Malgudi Days, has taken charge of the art direction of Kuntebille. Another actor, Dheeraj, for whom this is the fifth film, plays the hero’s friend.
Incidentally, the film is set to release across the state on September 26.
