KD: The Villain is directed by Jogi Prem and produced under the KVN banner. The film stars Dhruva Sarja and Rishma Nanayya in the lead roles. The song “Antamma Jodettu Kano” was released during the New Year and Christmas period. Sung by Jogi Prem, the song highlights the bond between brothers. It begins with a “Tandani Taane” background score and features visuals of Dhruva Sarja along with Ravichandran, Ramesh and Sanjay Dutt, including rain dance sequences and scenes from the film. Dhruva Sarja appears in a retro look in the song, while Ravichandran and Ramesh are also seen dancing alongside him.
Since the film’s production began, questions had been raised regarding the delay in its release, the status of the shoot, and whether the film would release in 2026. With the song release, the film team has officially announced the release date, addressing these questions.
The release date announcement coincided with the launch of “Antamma Jodettu Kano”. Jogi Prem has previously lent his voice to songs such as one from Brahma Vishnu Shiva Excuse Me, which featured lyrics by V. Nagendra Prasad and music by R. R. Patnaik. He has also been associated with films like Jogi, for which Guru Kiran composed the music and Prem himself wrote the lyrics, and Preethi Yaake Ee Bhoomi Melide, where Prem sang the title track. Several songs from his earlier films had gained popularity among listeners.
“Antamma Jodettu Kano” has been released on Anand Audio. The Kannada version features lyrics written by Manjunath B S and is sung by Jogi Prem. As KD: The Villain is a pan-India film, the song has also been released in multiple languages.
In Hindi, the lyrics are written by Raqueeb Alam and sung by Javed Ali.
In Telugu, the song is sung by Sid Sriram with lyrics by Bose Lyricist.
In Tamil, the lyrics are written by Madan Karky and sung by Sid Sriram.
In Malayalam, the lyrics are written by Gopalakrishnan and sung by Vijay.
The film’s music is composed by Arjun Janya. Earlier songs from the film, including “Shiva Shiva” and “Settagalla Hoge”, were released prior to this track. The newly released “Antamma Jodettu Kano” has drawn responses from both fans of Dhruva Sarja and music listeners.
According to the film team, although the film was expected to release earlier, the makers decided to finalise the release with a planned schedule. KD: The Villain is scheduled to release in theatres on April 30 next year.
