Chief Minister Siddaramaiah orders immediate assistance, announces compensation for the deceased and injured, and directs probe into cause of the accident
The Karnataka government has announced financial assistance for the victims of the Chitradurga bus accident, in which several lives were lost and many passengers were injured.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, after receiving a detailed briefing from officials on the incident, announced a compensation of ₹5 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. Additionally, ₹50,000 will be provided to every injured person.

The Chief Minister directed officials to remain in constant touch with district authorities and ensure that all necessary support reaches the affected families without delay. Instructions were also given to extend all possible assistance to those undergoing treatment.
Along with announcing relief, the government has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident. The Chief Minister has stated that appropriate action will be taken once the reasons behind the tragedy are identified.

Expressing concern over the incident, the Chief Minister conveyed his prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and paid respects to those who lost their lives, hoping their families find strength during this difficult time.
