Bhavnagar district NSUI president Arshman Khan Baloch was recently arrested by the police in connection with a cyber fraud case in Ahmedabad. Baloch was arrested during the investigation of a complaint by a person who alleged that he was defrauded of ₹47.50 lakhs through a fake investment scheme.
Arshman Khan Baloch fixed 25% on Hawala money
As per reports, Arshman Khan Baloch, who runs a construction business and has been contending for the Youth Congress President, has been providing bank accounts to cyber fraudsters for 25% commission on hawala funds deposited into the accounts. Baloch owns a large amount of property and several luxury cars, including a BMW, a Fortuner, a Thar and an Innova.
Baloch collected the Hawala money through Angadia
Arshman Khan Baloch is said to have met a cyber fraud gang during his visit to Dubai some time ago. Since then, he has been assisting the cyber fraud gang by providing bank accounts for depositing Hawala money. After the money was deposited into these bank accounts, he would collect it through different people via a traditional courier system, Angadia. He kept his share of 25% of the money and transferred the remaining amount to the foreign-based cyber criminals by converting it into cryptocurrency. Baloch accumulated money in crores through these fraudulent bank accounts. He also received one and a half crore rupees of fraud money through Angadia. He accumulated substantial property using the money. Baloch was reportedly named in two other complaints filed earlier.
