A few years ago, after directing Gyapallondu Cinema and later Omini, Heddur Manjunath Shetty has now directed the film Paathashaala. This film is releasing on November 28.
Under the banner of MS Square Movies, my wife Preethi and I have produced this film. More than ten friends have co-produced it. Most of the shooting was done in Tirthahalli taluk. Over forty children have acted in this film. The children were trained before the shoot, and all of them are from in and around Tirthahalli. Senior artistes such as Balaji Manohar, Sudhakar Bannanje, Kiran Nayak, and actor Prashanth are part of the film’s cast. The story revolves around the relationship between teachers and students during the 80s and 90s. Paathashaala carries the tagline “Study or Run Away”. This is not just a children’s film — it is a film that people of all age groups must watch. Our film releases on November 28.
