Directed by renowned filmmaker Dr. S. Narayan, starring Duniya Vijay, Shreyas Manju and Brinda Acharya in lead roles, and produced under the Eesha Productions banner by K. Manju and Ramesh Yadav, the much-anticipated film “Maarutha” has been creating a buzz since its beginning. With a storyline that delivers a strong social message, the film is releasing grandly across the state on November 21. At the recently held pre-release event, the members of the film team spoke.
This film began one year ago. After hearing the story, K. Manju and Ramesh Yadav decided to produce it. Shreyas Manju and Brinda Acharya were finalized as the lead pair. For an important role that would draw everyone’s attention, we needed a strong actor. That’s when we thought of Duniya Vijay. We were very happy when he agreed to act. Also, this is my 51st directorial film. Even after directing so many movies, this is the first time I am working with Sharath Lohitashwa. Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Tara, Pramod Shetty, Sujay Shastri, Vinay Bidappa, Ranav and many others form a big ensemble cast. Ravichandran has acted in a special role.
The technicians’ support has been immense. In today’s mobile era, no matter how much attention we give our children, it is still not enough — especially when it comes to girls. Parents must spend time with their children. If not, many things can happen — and we have shown that through this film. This film gives a good message to society. Soon, police officials and members of the Women’s Commission will watch the film. The upcoming “Maarutha” is like just a trailer — “Maarutha 2” will also come, and Duniya Vijay will act in that. Script work is in progress, said director S. Narayan.
For a human being, discipline and time management are most important. I learned that from S. Narayan. Also, I have already worked with K. Manju in a movie. Ramesh Yadav has supported Manju in production. Shreyas, Brinda Acharya and all artistes have acted wonderfully. My role is also good, said Duniya Vijay. The topnotch in box office today promised to be part of this film promotion for the immense love of producer K Manju. He has provided conveyance allowance for me when I came for dubbing of my film. This is unheard in my career says Dhuniya Vijay.
S. Narayan has made a film with a meaningful message. On November 21, this film is releasing grandly in more than 225 theatres. This is Narayan’s 51st directorial, my 51st production and Ramesh Yadav’s 21st production. November is lucky for us because my production “Raja Huli” and Ramesh Yadav’s production “Daasa” were released in November and became super hits. Noted producer K Manju is very confident that “Maarutha” will also succeed similarly. Our film’s trailer is receiving huge viewership. A famous South Indian actor who has acted in our banner called and asked what he could do for our film. As per his request, he is specially promoting our trailer now. He asked that his name not be mentioned, so I am not revealing it, he said.
It is a pleasure to co-produce a film with a strong social message under the direction of S. Narayan along with K. Manju. Thanks to the entire film team for their support, said producer Ramesh Yadav.
I learned a lot working with an experienced director like S. Narayan. Also, many senior artistes are part of our film, and acting alongside them has been a great joy. My father and Ramesh Yadav have produced this film. Whatever I asked for, my father never said “no” even for a single day — no matter how much I say about him, it won’t be enough, said lead actor Shreyas K. Manju.
Working with S. Narayan taught me discipline. I thank the producers and director for giving me a wonderful role, said leading lady Brinda Acharya.
Senior actors Sharath Lohitashwa, Vinay Bidappa, Ranav, and others who acted in the film spoke about their roles.
