We have heard of ‘Cake Walk’, the prestigious Lahari Recording Company after struggle and hard work in the last five decades has found its ‘Cake Walk’ and now it is having ‘Moon Walk’ as official music partner for Behindwoods.
South India’s renowned music label ‘Lahari Music’ is now bringing together two legends once again. Lahari is reuniting A.R. Rahman and Prabhudeva after a long gap of 29 years. The label has officially acquired the music rights for the film Moonwalk.
Moonwalk is being produced under the leadership of Behindwoods’ Manoj Nirmala Sridharan. A film that revolves around music, dance, and a family-oriented storyline, it features music by Oscar-winning maestro A.R. Rahman. This has doubled the expectations surrounding the project.
Speaking about this collaboration, Lahari Music’s founder Manohar Naidu said: “This is the 50th year of our music enterprise. We are happy to be the music partners of Moonwalk. The songs of Moonwalk are like the heartbeat of the film. A.R. Rahman’s extraordinary music will reach every corner of the world. I have listened to five songs. All of them are unique and distinctive. Manoj N.S.’s sincere hard work is admirable. This combination’s album will surely be a blockbuster,” he said.

Behindwoods founder and CEO Manoj Nirmala Sridharan said: “One of South India’s most trusted and renowned music labels, Lahari Music, holds the honor of having introduced A.R. Rahman’s first album Roja. It became a massive success and a major milestone in Indian music. Now, we have once again joined hands with the same musical magician.” Lahari had earlier released milestone albums like Gentleman and Kadhalan. This marks their third collaboration with A.R. Rahman and Prabhudeva.
Moonwalk film stars Prabhudeva in a key role, alongside Yogi Babu, Aju Varghese, Arjun Ashokan, Satsz, Nishma Chengappa, Sushmitha Nayak, Redin Kingsley, Mottai Rajendran, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Dr. Santosh Jacob, Deepa Shankar, and Ramkumar Natarajan, featuring a mix of senior and young artistes.
While the first song is hitting on November 19, Post-production work is currently progressing at a fast pace, and the film’s audio will be released in 2026 in collaboration with Lahari Music. Before that, the first music video from the film, Storm – The Moonwalk’s Anthem, is set to release on Wednesday, November 19 on Lahari Music’s and Behindwoods TV’s YouTube channels.
