Investigators probing the Delhi Red Fort blast case are on the lookout for the second vehicle owned by Dr Umar Nabi, the Kashmiri doctor working at Al Falah Hospital who was behind the explosion.
As per reports, Nabi owned a Ford EcoSport, with the registration number DL10CK0458. As soon as the police learned about the second vehicle, an alert was issued to look for it. All stations under the Delhi Police, as well as stations in UP and Haryana, have been alerted about the vehicle.
Dr Umar Nabi was reportedly driving his i20 car when it blew up in a busy street near the Gate number 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station on the evening of November 10, killing a dozen people and shattering multiple vehicles in a 50-metre area. Hours before the deadly blast, J&K Police, and Haryana Police had raided multiple locations in and around the Al Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana, where over 2900 kgs of ammonium nitrate and other chemicals were seized, along with assault weapons.
8 people have been arrested so far in the ammonium nitrate case, in what is believed to be a terrorist module that stemmed from Kashmir to Haryana and Delhi. Apart from Dr Umar Nabi, several other doctors and a maulana (Islamic cleric) have been associated with this nexus, reported as a Jaish-e-Mohammad plan to carry out terrorist attacks in India.
