The film Rukmini Radhakrishna was officially launched recently. The film marks the directorial debut of Pran Suvarna, who has worked in the Kannada film industry for 14 years as an associate director and writer.
Actor Bharat Kumar, who is the lead in the yet-to-be-released film Majestic-2, is playing the male lead in Rukmini Radhakrishna. Mokshitha Pai and Riya Sachdev are the female leads.
The muhurat ceremony took place at Sri Mahalakshmi Temple in Kumarakrupa. For the first shot, Film Chamber President R. Narasimhulu gave the clap, while producer R. Hanumantharaju switched on the camera.
The film is based on a triangular love story. Inspired by the story of Krishna, Radha, and Rukmini, the director aims to present a Gen-Z triangle love plot through the lead characters.
A total of 60 days of shooting has been planned. The first schedule will be held in and around Bengaluru, and the second schedule in Kumbakonam.
The film is presented by Shilpa Srinivas and produced by N. Hanumantharaju and N. H. Umesh Chand, known for the film Pen Drive.
The film will feature six songs, with music composed by Sunad Gautam.
Pran Suvarna has written the story and screenplay and will direct the film. Technical crew includes Sunil Narasihmamurthy as cinematographer, M. Lakshmana Rao as editor, and Mahesh Ram as associate director.
