The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah appreciates the Trailer of the Film “Rona” and wished good luck recently for the team.
The trailer of the film “Rona” was released by Chief Minister’s Media Advisor K. Prabhakar. “Rona,” a film made under the leadership of theatre talents, is set for a grand release on November 7.
The trailer release event for “Rona,” a film showcasing a unique story featuring young talents on the silver screen, was organized at Utsav Legacy in GT Mall, Bengaluru. Chief Minister’s Media Advisor K. Prabhakar graced the occasion and released the trailer. Speaking afterward, he said, “Theatre artists from rural areas have made a very good film with great enthusiasm. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah watched the trailer of this film, produced by young actor-producer Raghu Rajananda, and extended his best wishes to the entire team. I too wish the team all the best. The trailer looks very interesting, and the music is good,” he said. Reminiscing about his days working for the Kolar Vani newspaper, he recalled those who had supported him then and assured his support for this young team, urging everyone to “watch and promote Kannada cinema.”
Produced under B.R.K Productions, the film “Rona” has been produced by actor-producer Raghu Raj Nanda, with young director Satish Kumar making his directorial debut. The film’s story blends elements of rural relationships, religion, politics, and science.
Director Satish Kumar said, “Our story is quite unique revised for 13 times to get final shape. Actor-producer Raghu and I discussed extensively before starting this project. This is my first directorial venture. I have worked in the film industry for nine years as an assistant director, gained experience through several documentaries, and am now making my debut as a director through ‘Rona.’ It’s a father-son story set in a village backdrop that combines science, religion, politics, friendship, and love with entertainment. Our entire technical team has supported us well. We shot the film over 65 days across Hoskote and various other locations. The film has turned out just as we envisioned. We request everyone to watch and encourage our film,” he said.
Actor-producer Raghu Raj Nanda said, “I thank Hon’ble Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for watching our trailer and extending his best wishes, and also thank K. Prabhakar for gracing our event and releasing the trailer. I have produced this film under B.R.K. Productions. I have learned a lot from my theatre mentors Sadashiva Neenasam and Malur Vijay, who also have acted in our film—it’s my fortune to have them on board. I’ve played small roles in a few films before. After performing a minor role in ‘Kere Bete,’ I decided to make a film myself. Thus, I acted in and produced ‘Rona.’ The film has come out very well, incorporating all kinds of cinematic elements. Our trailer is now out, and the Devi song from the film has also turned out beautifully. All the artists have performed exceptionally well in line with the story. I’m confident audiences will love it. ‘Ka Picture’ Praveen has supported us immensely. The promotional campaign is progressing step by step. Our film will release grandly across the state on November 7. We seek your love and encouragement,” he said.
The film’s lead actress Prakruthi Prasad said, “The character I’ve played in this film is very unique. I entered the film industry through TV serials, and this is my second film. The story explores a father-daughter bond while also addressing religious and scientific ideas. My character, an educated city girl, visits a village and witnesses several incidents that she must confront. The whole team has worked very hard. Please watch and support our film in theatres,” she requested.
The film features Sharath Lohitashwa as the hero’s father, along with Malur Vijay, Chillar Manju, Balrajwadi, Sangeetha Anil, theatre artist Geetha, Hitesh Abhishek Arya, Vinod, Darshan Shetty, Manoj Kumar, and others in supporting roles.
“Rona” marks the directorial debut of Satish Kumar and is presented by Kannada Picture under B.K.R Productions & Team.
Arun Kumar is the cinematographer, Gnanesh B. Mathad is the editor, and Gagan Baderiya has composed the music. Lyrics are by V. Nagendra Prasad, Chetan Kumar, and Kinnal Raj. The story is by Ramesh, while Adeshwar has written the screenplay and dialogues.
With a strong storyline, “Rona” is all set to hit theatres on November 7, promising a compelling cinematic experience for audiences.
