The film Udala is scheduled to hit theatres on November 14. The team is preparing to unveil the first song shortly.
Produced under the banners of Yogaraj Cinemas and Ravi Shamanur Films, Udala marks another collaboration between Davanagere-based producer Ravi Shamanur and filmmaker Yogaraj Bhat, who earlier produced Padhavi Poorva. The film is directed by Amol Patil and stars Prithvi Shamanur, known for his debut in Padhavi Poorva, in the lead role.
The teaser of Udala was recently released on the Saregama YouTube channel and has been receiving wide attention and a large number of views. Along with the teaser, the team officially announced the film’s release date.
The film features five songs written by Yogaraj Bhat, with music composed by Jaskaran Singh. The songs are sung by Chetan Davy, Malu Nipnal, Balu Belagundi, Karibasava, and Srushti Shamanur. The first song, which begins with the popular North Karnataka phrase “Hodi Shyavigyaag Majgi,” is sung by Srushti Shamanur and Malu Nipnal, who gained recognition for the song “Hittalak Karibeda Maava.” The song will soon be released on the Saregama YouTube channel.
Udala is Prithvi Shamanur’s second film as a lead actor following his debut. Hrithik Srinivas plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Bal Rajwadi, Malu Nipnal, Harish Hiryur, Biradar, Govindegowda, Sumit Sankoji, Wadiraj Babbladi, Praveen Gasti, Dayanand Bilagi, Renuka, Sridhar, Danappa, Shilpa Shantakumar, and Sonia.
The film blends elements of love, comedy, and suspense. It is directed by Amol Patil, who previously worked as an associate director alongside Yogaraj Bhat.
The technical crew includes Shivashankar Noorambad as the cinematographer, Madhu Thumbakere as the editor, and Arjun Raj and Vinod—known for their work on Kantara—handling stunt direction. Choreography is by Bhajarangi Mohan and Raghu, with Veeresh P.M. serving as the associate director. A major portion of Udala was shot in Vijayapura (Bijapur).
