Infrastructure leader Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has announced a landmark contract win for its Buildings & Factories (B&F) division in Bengaluru. The project involves the construction of one of the city’s largest proposed IT parks, spanning a massive 5.9 million square feet. The contract, awarded by an undisclosed multinational company, is categorized as a “major” order by L&T, with a project value ranging between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore.

The IT park will be developed in two phases on a lump-sum turnkey basis. Designed with sustainability at its core, the facility will feature six 14-storey towers, constructed with a warm-shell approach.
Project aims for USGBC LEED Platinum certification
The project aims for USGBC LEED Platinum certification and will include advanced infrastructure, such as solar photovoltaic systems, water and waste treatment plants, and stack parking. Additionally, the development will provide ample green spaces and adhere to global environmental standards.
L&T’s scope includes comprehensive work on structural elements, façade glazing, HVAC systems, elevators, escalators, fire protection systems, and electrical distribution. The company emphasized that this order underscores its ability to deliver large-scale, complex developments within tight schedules.
