Mysuru Palace witnessed a grand Ayudha Puja today as part of the ongoing Dussehra festivities. Yaduveer Wodeyar, dressed in royal attire, led the ceremonial prayers for the weapons, including swords, shields, and the royal symbols of the palace. Worship also extended to the royal elephant, horse, cow, and camel, traditional symbols of the royal family’s heritage.
The highlight of the event was the special offering of prayers to the luxury cars once used by Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar, adding a contemporary touch to the royal rituals. The ceremony took place in the palace courtyard, filled with religious fervour from early morning, with rituals such as homa and havan performed to mark the occasion.
