According to IMD, Bengaluru will witness moderate to heavy rainfall, with wind speeds expected to reach 30-40 km/h, bringing gusty conditions through the day. This comes as part of an active monsoon system that is likely to lash the entire state, affecting both north and south Karnataka.
The alert covers all districts, and residents are advised to take precautions while commuting, as waterlogging and traffic snarls could be expected in low-lying areas.
Today’s showers are likely to bring down day temperatures, offering Bengaluru a much-needed respite from the recent humidity. IMD has advised citizens to keep umbrellas handy, avoid unnecessary travel during peak rain hours, and stay alert to weather updates.
