The trailer of Middle Class Ramayana, directed by Dhanush Gowda, has been released and the film is scheduled to hit theaters on September 12. The movie focuses on the struggles faced during middle-class weddings and is presented as a comedy entertainer.
In the trailer, Mokshitha Pai appears in a contrasting look for her role as Soundarya. The trailer has received positive response. Director Dhanush Gowda, known for Rebel Hudugaru, said that Middle Class Ramayana is the story of one boy, but it reflects experiences relatable to many. He added that the film had initially started before the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to delays, some hero-heroine portions were reshot. He also expressed concern that despite approaching senior artistes, some did not agree to join, possibly because it was not a big banner production.
Producer Jayaram Gangappanahalli, who also runs a lorry business and is interested in agriculture, said that a friend narrated the story to him and he decided to produce the film as he liked it. He stated that what matters most is not his personal liking, but whether the audience enjoys it.
Actress Yukta, who plays the role of Keerthi, mentioned that this is her third Kannada film and she is happy to have received another opportunity in the industry. Mokshitha Pai said that she plays the role of Soundarya, which required her to take on an unusual appearance. She revealed that she was surprised during the look test but accepted it as a new challenge.
Actor Vinu Gowda, speaking about his role, said that the film will be liked by all and also emphasized the importance of encouraging new talent.
