Namma Metro advances Yellow Line services on Monday to handle the post-Independence Day passenger surge, with normal timings resuming from Tuesday.
Bengaluru: Namma Metro in a media release has announced that Yellow Line services will begin earlier than usual at 5:00 AM on Monday, August 18, 2025, to accommodate the expected surge in commuters following the extended Independence Day weekend.

The first trains will depart from R.V Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra stations at 5:00 AM. However, officials clarified that this advance start is a one-day special arrangement and that from Tuesday onwards, services will resume at their regular timing of 6:30 AM.
Metro authorities have urged passengers to make use of this early service for smoother and more convenient travel.
Meanwhile, the Purple and Green Line services will continue with their established early start at 4:15 AM on Mondays, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity across the network.
