The film Su From So, produced by Raj B Shetty under the banner of Lighter Buddha Films in association with Shashidhar Shetty Baroda and Ravi Rai Kalasa, is set to release on July 25. Directed by JP Tuminad, the film’s trailer was recently released and has attracted audience attention. The song “Dog’s Anthem,” which had released earlier, has also been receiving significant appreciation.
Su From So is a comedy-horror film. The title refers to the characters Sulochana and Someshwar and also to the names of places featured in the story. Speaking at a press conference, the film team shared further details. This is the directorial debut of JP Tuminad, who is well known in theatre circles. He had written this story six years ago, and it has now taken the form of a film. Raj B Shetty mentioned that this project belongs to his favorite genre—comedy—and was made with a mostly new team.
The film was shot over 50 days in and around Beltangadi, Venur, and Kakkyapadavu. The cast includes JP Tuminad, Shaneel Gowtham, Prakash K Tuminad, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, and Arjun Kaje. Cinematography is by Chandrashekhar, music is composed by Sumedh K, and the background score is by Sandeep Tulasidas. The first-look poster, the “Dog’s Anthem” song, and the trailer have already been released to the public.
Raj B Shetty stated that the film will release on July 25 and encouraged everyone to watch and support it.
Director JP Tuminad shared that although he entered the film industry with dreams of becoming a director, he first became an actor. Now, after several years, he is directing his first film and thanked the producers for the opportunity. He described the film as a fictional story meant to make viewers laugh and confirmed that the team’s support helped complete the project.
Producer Ravi Rai Kalasa expressed hope that the film will receive wide support. Music director Sumedh noted that the film features six songs. Cast members Deepak Rai Panaje, Shaneel Gowtham, Sandhya Arkere, and Mime Ramdas spoke about their respective roles. Production designer Sushma, editor Naveen Shetty, and executive producer Balu Kumta were also present at the press meet.
