Radhika Narayan, known for her role in Rangitaranga, is playing a lead role in the upcoming Kannada film Mahan. The film is directed by P.C. Shekhar, who has previously directed several Kannada films, and is being produced by Prakash Budduru under the Aakash Pictures banner, in collaboration with a reputed institution. Vijay Raghavendra is playing the lead role in the film.
The Mahan team released a special poster to announce Radhika Narayan’s inclusion in the project.
Speaking about the film, Radhika Narayan said that Mahan is based on the lives of farmers. She expressed happiness about being part of the project, noting that she had long wanted to work with director P.C. Shekhar, and that it had not been possible until now. She said she is playing the role of a village girl in the film and mentioned that she liked the story as soon as the director mentioned it was farmer-related. She also stated that she is glad to be acting alongside Vijay Raghavendra and to be part of a film produced by Prakash, who is associated with an educational institution and is making a socially relevant film.
Director P.C. Shekhar said that he had previously discussed two or three stories with Radhika Narayan, but those did not materialize. He expressed happiness that she is now acting in his film Mahan, and mentioned that her role in the film will be different.
Producer Prakash Budduru stated that Radhika Chetan, who has acted in several successful Kannada films including Rangitaranga, is playing a key role in their first production.
The film’s title Mahan was recently unveiled by actor Shivrajkumar.
