The Chikkajala police booked the owner of Just Bake Bindu Recipes Private Limited, the hydraulic lift operator firm, and the factory in-charge under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 106 (1) (causing death by negligence) after Mukesh Kumar Choudhary, a relative of Bhopendra Choudhary who has been working in the same firm for the past nine years, filed a complaint with the Chikkajala police regarding the incident.
According to the FIR registered at the Chikkajala police station, Bhopendra Choudhary was working on the second floor of the three-story building, using a hydraulic lift to transport cake-making materials and goods between floors. The hydraulic lift was being used to transport materials from the ground floor to the second floor when it suddenly collapsed. Bhopendra Choudhary fell from the second floor to the ground level, suffering severe head injuries and excessive bleeding.
The other workers at the factory immediately removed Bhopendra Choudhary from under the collapsed hydraulic lift after the accident. He was shifted to a private hospital, but the doctors declared that he had been brought dead.
Bhopendra Choudhary came to Bengaluru two months ago searching for a job, and his relative helped him get the job of a helper at the factory, according to the police.
